Any questions?
You may have a few questions while reading my website.
I have tried to answer the most frequent ones here…
Offers and services
After the first Career Check with a detailed assessment, is there also a Quick Check that can be booked in subsequent years?
Yes, of course. If we know each other and I am familiar with your context, we can determine where you stand in one or two hours and quickly find out whether there is a need for action or not.
Do you also offer classic coaching?
Yes, classic coaching elements are included in the Management Sparring offer. The focus of my consulting services is on strategies for the respective career situation.
Can I only contact you for a specific individual question?
From my experience I know that individual questions are difficult to answer if you do not know the overall context well. Clients with whom I have conducted a biographical interview contact me for a short, quick exchange of ideas regularly.
Is the “Bad News – Reorientation” offer comparable to outplacement? Are you also active in classic outplacement counselling?
Not proactively. On demand. I also have several years of experience in classic outplacement counselling. A key insight from this is that at the beginning, when the need is understandably great, there is a gap between expectations and realisable performance. Therefore, in the context of reorientation, I offer a service that is delimitable and controllable.
At the end of a cooperation, there is often the question of support in the context of job interviews. I am happy to be available for this, as at this point the mutual expectation of results and feasibility is more realistic due to the working relationship that has grown.
The offer supported by my employer is coming to an end and I would like to continue working with you – is that possible?
Yes, of course, this is often the case. At the beginning of our cooperation, we discuss what we want to focus on within the assignment and the available budget. Towards the end of the process we determine the possible need for a follow-up consultation as well as the conceivable financing.
Costs & conditions
Will the initial consultation be free of charge?
Yes. Generally, I have been recommended to you and you have already had a look around my website. Now you want a live impression of whether it could be a good fit with us. Understandable. The interview serves to get to know each other, to understand the context and to compare mutual expectations.
Since I am usually contacted out of a legitimate interest, a first telephone call can sometimes quickly develop into a spontaneous sparring session. I would draw your attention to this in the course of the conversation.
Data protection & confidentiality
How do you handle confidential information that comes to the table during a counselling process?
What we discuss remains between us. Discretion is paramount. My work is based on trust and open talk. In the context of supervision, cases can be discussed in anonymous form.
If my employer assigns you, what information from our discussions do you pass on?
Only the information that you release. Usually corporate counterparts are less interested in details. As a rule, they agree to a meta-assessment of the counselling process and the direction of the results.
Cooperation & Logistics
Do you work all over Germany or only in Munich & the surrounding area?
The majority of my clients do not work in Munich and the surrounding area, but are spread all over Germany. According to their career paths, many of my clients also live abroad, in Austria, Switzerland and other European countries. For face-to-face meetings, my clients seek me out in my office in Munich.
Do we tend to work together in person or digitally? How often do we need to see each other in person?
For the biographical interview and the joint evaluation, I meet with my clients in my office in Munich. This face-to-face meeting is important for building a working relationship. From then on, we usually communicate by phone and email. For longer reorientation processes or in management sparring, a personal update is useful now and then – many of my out-of-town clients combine a business or private stay in Munich with a meeting in my office.
Where can I stay overnight when we meet for the biographical interview?
There are a number of small hotels in the immediate vicinity of my office in Munich’s Lehel district at fair rates that I can recommend.
